Turn your Blog into a Book
How cool is that! I was blog stalking one day (because that is what I like to do when I can't sleep) and I came across a couple of people's blogs talking about this. I was so excited. Its like a whole new way to scrapbook. Can you imagine printing our blogs once a year and having a book of it. I was telling my friend Cara about it and she said I should post it on my blog for all of you to know too and that she would do the same. I posted the links in one of my sidebars. Now I have not tried it yet but this is where I read about it here gibsongrapevine and here princesspigbear. Check it out!

Soccer Practice and Bits of Sam
What's a girl to do when you have to sit at soccer practice for an hour once a week. Take pictures and more pictures. So fun to play with my camera. My goal is to figure out manual mode someday.

Samantha is 7 1/2 months old now. She is the happiest baby ever! She always has a smile for you. I love when she wakes up and I peek in her crib and she is just all smiles no matter what time of day. It just warms your heart.
New things for her are:
Saying DADA.
I think BABA too which is so funny because we never say that. I keep trying to teach her MAMA but its not working.
She can lean forward when sitting and reach for what she wants and sit back up.
She is rolling all over the place now.
Peaches and Squash have become her favorite foods. Eats them right up.
She loves to be sung too. Especially Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Still no teeth. Which I am so grateful for, since the other 3 got them so early.
She pulled herself up in her crib today, using the toy that is tied to the footboard of the crib. 8/8/08

Tooth Fairy is coming tonight!
Alexys has had a loose tooth for about two weeks now. Every night Jeff checks it to see if it is loose enough to come out without any pain. Wouldn't you know it the night daddy is out of town she pulls it out herself! Talk about a weekend of changes for this girl. She is growing up so fast. Kindergarten here she comes.

Alexys' New Hair-Do
Alexys has been asking for a few months if she could cut her hair. I had told her after dance recital if she still wanted to cut it I would take her. Well since recital was last night she decided that she did still want to cut her hair. She is also growing her bangs out. I can't wait for them to get a little longer to clip to the side with a barrette. I think it looks really cute on her. She was so excited today just flopping it all around with some sass!
My Shining Stars
Last night was Alexys' recital night. The tiny tots are so stinkin' cute. Alexys' class danced to Three Little Fishies. My neighbors Matt and Chamaine own the Good News Dance Studio that Alexys goes to. They put on such a great Christian show. You definitely could feel the Lord in the auditorium last night.

Jeff also did a couple of skits. He did so good. I am so proud of him. The one pictured below was from LifeHouse- Everything if you have the time check it out. It is really good!

Old Friends, Good Times
This past Saturday I had the chance to see two of my oldest friends Michele and Shannon. I haven't seen Michele in 15 years. She looks exactly the same (minus the big 80's hair, black eyeliner and heavy metal t-shirts).When I moved to Covina in the 6th grade I met Michele. We lived on the same street and became best friends. When Michele and I started the 9th grade we met Shannon and the 3 of us were inseparable. Shannon and I got in touch with each other a couple years ago through classmates.com and have been talking since always hoping to find Michele too. A couple weeks ago I got an email from classmates and usually I just delete them, I am so glad I didn't because Michele was finally on there too. Shannon now lives near Reno, Nv and Michele lives in Alta Loma, Ca. I can't wait to see these girls again. It is so strange how you can not see one another for years and when you do it feels like it was yesterday.
