Brian's 18th Birthday
Brian turned 18 today. To celebrate we took him, his girlfriend and two of his friends to The Yard House for dinner. I got there before he did so I let the waitress know we were celebrating a birthday. Of course as soon as he got there he said don't mention my birthday it's embarrassing when they sing to you. Hehe I said ok I won't. So when they came with the dessert he about died. It was a good night. Every year I can't believe how all the kids are growing up so fast. The years just seem to fly by.

Christmas 2010
This morning started off very early for us with a wake up from Alexys at 4:30 A.M. to let us know Santa had come. After several times of coming into our room to tell us what he had brought her. She then decided to wake Samantha up at 5 A.M. to let her know Santa had come. It was so cute listening to them by the tree playing with their toys. At 6 we asked Alexys to wake up Brian to open gifts. I think we were all back in bed by 8:30 for a morning nap. Our friends and neighbors the Johnson's invited us over for a delish Christmas dinner. Christina always does a great job. Her house is so cutely decorated too! We played a dice game called LCR. Merry Christmas to you all!

Coronado Holiday Cup
Alexys has joined a club soccer team. The girls had their first tournament this weekend in Coronado. It is so beautiful there. The houses are amazing and the soccer fields are all so nice. The girls played 3 games. 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. Alexys scored a total of 4 goals. They place 2nd in their bracket but didn't make it to playoffs. Not bad for only playing 2 weeks together. The best thing is two of her besties are on her team. Good times!

Christmas with Mom and Martin
Our Christmas was a little different this year. Since I have gone back to work at Costco and couldn't take time off. Mom and Martin came out the weekend before Christmas to celebrate. We opened presents the night they came into town since it was my only night off. The girls love when Gramma comes to visit. Every year she gets the girls new pj's and a Christmas ornament. Last year Alexys got her own tree in her room to hang all her ornaments on. When Sam is old enough she will get her own too.

Samantha's 3rd Bday
Samantha turned 3 this year. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She talks up a storm. Loves to talk on the phone. She is potty trained, which is really nice! Knows her colors. Can count to 14. Loves Dora, Diego, Wonder Pets and Mickey Mouse Club House. We had some family over to celebrate with her. She was so excited.

Meeting Santa
This week Jeff and I took the girls to our local mall to see Santa! Both girls have gone before but this was the first year that Samantha was so excited to see him. We have been talking about it with her for a couple of weeks. She kept saying I won't cry. Guess what she didn't! He was the best Santa too! So friendly and just talked with the girls. Luckily this year we didn't wait until the last minute to see him. So he wasn't so rushed. If you ask Samantha what she wants for Christmas she tells you presents and if you ask her what kind she says blue ones! It's so cute. She doesn't have a specific thing in mind at all.

DeJongs Dairy
Last Friday Samantha and I, along with some other families of our mom's club, went on a tour of DeJongs Dairy in Wildomar,Ca. We had been there a couple years ago when Alexys was smaller but Samantha was just a baby. She had the best time. There had just been a calf born two days before so they showed the kids how they feed the calf with a bottle. She was so cute just kept mooing. They process all of their own milk and sell it in their store on the property. Once again we couldn't leave without a gallon of our favorite chocolate milk.

A day at the Wild Animal Park
This past week we decided to take a trip to the Wild Animal Park. It was such a gorgeous day. Hard to believe it is November and people are wearing tank tops and shorts. How lucky are we! Our first stop was the Bird Show. The girls loved it! They also had their Creepy Crawly Bug Fair going on. The girls got to pet a Hissing Cockroach! EEW! not for me. The guy holding it was letting it crawl all over his hands. It gives me shivers just to think of it! There were several stations all over the park. One was a spider station and they had black widows in clear boxes for you to see. Alexys got to craft a caterpillar out of puff balls. She loved that. To finish our day off we had a waffle cone with ice cream before we left. That's always our treat after hiking to the lions and elephants. Next time we are going to hike to the Condors.

Halloween 2010
Pumpkin Carving
The kids and I had a great time carving pumpkins. This is something we look forward to every year. Can't wait to eat the pumpkin seeds tonight!
CrAZy HaIR DaY
This past week was Red Ribbon Week @ school. One of the fun things they do is Crazy Hair Day. This is as crazy as Alexys wanted to get. Pink hair. Every day they did something different to celebrate. Sam even participated too.
Sam with her pink hair too. We ran out so she only got a little bit. She was happy though.

Pumpkin Patch
This week Alexys had a couple minimum days from school and Grandma Jenny was here to visit. So we decided to go to our favorite pumpkin patch. I just love the way its nestled in the trees and the way they set them all up. This year the girls were more interested in pushing the pumpkin cart around than actually picking a pumpkin to put into it. lol. Brian was still in school so he didn't get to go but I'm sure we will go back before the end of the month. CJ did get to go with us which was so nice. I was able to get a couple pics of him too! Those are moments that don't happen so much anymore.
