Seeing Santa

While in Arizona Jenny and I took the girls to see Santa at her local mall. The girls were so excited. Well Sam was until she got up closer! The minute we walked up to him it was all over for her. Alexys wanted to make sure that Santa knew we were not at home this year but at grandma's house. She asked Santa for a nintendo ds, pj's and shoes.

CJ Happy "19th" Bday

I can't believe I am the mother of a 19 year old. Where has this time gone? I tell you, enjoy your time with your children. It goes by so fast. Even the bad days when you say "calgon take me away".
CJ you are such a handsome young man! I love you! May all your birthday wishes come true!

The Polar Express Program

This year for Alexys' 1st grade Christmas program. They did the Polar Express. They had the families come dressed in their pj's. The kids then sang some traditional Christmas songs. We then sat and listened to a reading and slide show of the Polar Express. After it was all done we had juice and cookies. They were all so cute and had the best time!

Our Official Taste Tester

Every year we make some delicious goodies to give to Jeff's office. Samantha was right there just tasting away. Giving her approval! This year I tried the melting chocolates. I dipped some pretzels in milk chocolate and the sugar cookies in white chocolate. So yummy! Easy to do too!

These are my favorite!

just some randoms

Since I'm in the blogging mood. Thought I would post some more. She is starting to like hats. Which I am way excited about. They are so many cute ones out there. Especially the knitted ones with cute flowers on them. Everytime I took her picture she would say "I wanna see" in her cute little voice.

All I want for Christmas...

Alexys finally lost one of her front teeth. The two top ones have been loose for months. It took two nights of some serious wiggling and a few tears but it came out. She was so excited. She even drew the Tooth Fairy a picture of her tooth.

A Park Visit

The girls and I took a walk to the park one day this past week. It had been such a long time since we last went. It seems here in California its either too hot to play on the equipment or too cold. Mostly too hot! However this day was beautiful! Alexys' favorite thing to do used to just be on the swing. Which I loved since she was contained. lol. However since starting 1st grade she loves the monkey bars! Samantha liked the swings for a little bit but mostly loved the slides. Which for me is a little scary since she has to climb up the stairs to get to them. She did pretty good though.

Thanksgiving 2009

This year my mom and her husband Jeff came to California for Thanksgiving. It was nice getting to spend this time with them. We all ended up going to Jack and Melinda's (my Jeff's dad) house. As usual Melinda and her mom cooked a delicious dinner. She always decorates the table so nice too. It was such a nice day.
The next day my mom, sister and myself got up at 2:30 am and headed out to get some killer deals. We shopped til we dropped! We even squeezed a couple Starbucks in there too.

Happy Halloween...

We had a great Halloween. Alexys was a Vampiress and Samantha was a Kitty. This was Alexys' first scary costume. Samantha was even getting the hang of going door to door, holding her bag and I think I heard her say trick or treat a couple of times. Gramma and Opa came to town to spend the weekend with us too. Which is always a good time!
