There's A New Tornado In Town...
and her name is Samantha. She is now 11 months and officially into EVERYTHING. Most of our cabinets have been baby proofed from the time Alexys was this age. However she is finding every cabinet or drawer that is not. When she is done taking everything out she just crawls away onto the next mess she can make!

De Jongs Dairy
Yesterday we went with our Mommy and Me group to a local dairy. It was so much fun. The kids got to pet and feed the cows and other animals, learn how they are milked, learn how milk is processed and packaged, watch a calf be fed milk with a bottle and when the tour was done they are got to have chocolate milk and cookies. The chocolate milk is to die for. It was like a milk shake. Delicious. We couldn't pass up bringing a gallon home for dessert.

Did You?
Jeff and I did first thing this morning. Surprisingly the line was not bad at all. We waited maybe 20 minutes. We took the girls with us too. Samantha is too young to understand but I think Alexys kinda did. Hopefully when they get older they too will make the choice to have their voices heard and vote too.

Trick or Treating
This year we went with my sisters' family and our good friends the Jackson's. It was Addie and McKenna's first time trick or treating. Little Addie was such a trooper. She was not afraid to go up to the door at all. I can't wait for Samantha to be walking next year.

Pumpkin Carving
This is a tradition we do every year. This was the first year Alexys was able to do carving herself. At first she wanted to carve a cat and in the end she chose hearts. Its not very Halloweenish but I thought ok it will probably be easier than the cat. Boy was I wrong it took forever since we had to go all the way around the pumpkin. We sure had fun doing it though. Now we are ready to bake our pumpkin seeds.
