Brian got to be one of the Captains for this weeks game. That was so cool. Todays game didn't go so well for us though. We lost 38-0. It was a sad game. All of us parents couldn't believe the size of their players. They were all very big and fast! Brian did get to make a great catch though. Hopefully next weeks game will be better for them.

PVHS vs Mission Bay
Today was Brian's first JV game. It is so exciting to watch. Reminds me of high school and routing for my school team. This year he is a starting receiver. He keeps telling us this is his last year playing but we are crossing our fingers he will change his mind. He is such a great athlete. Paloma won 27-6.

From a Caterpillar to a Beautiful Butterfly
A couple weeks ago Alexys came home from Christina's with a green caterpillar in a jar. It ate and ate leaves for two weeks. She was so afraid it was going to turn into a butterfly while we were at the beach. I assured her it wouldn't. She had at least another week to go. One night before bed we checked the jar and there was a beautiful butterfly in the jar. So we took it outside and let it go. What an incredible experience for Alexys.

One Last Hurrah!
This past weekend we joined the Johnson's for one last trip to the beach. We rented two of these cottages on base for 3 days of "Fun in the Sun". What a great time we had. We bbq'd every night. Sat by the campfire, roasted marshmellows and made smores! Played cards. Relaxed on the beach. I even got to go boogie boarding. The girls had fun playing on the playground right by our cottage, building sand castles and boogie boarding themselves and just having some daddy daughter time. We had some amazing sun sets too. I love Summer! Fun, Fun, Fun! Can't wait to go back next year. Beach + Good Friends = Priceless Memories
