She is into EVERYTHING!

The other day I was talking to my mom on the phone and I could hear Samantha in my room. When I went into check on her she had gotten up on my nightstand and had diaper rash powder everywhere!

My 38th Birthday

It was a fabulous day! I pretty much relaxed all day at home and then the 6 of us went to Wahoo's for dinner. I had been wanting to try their fish taco's for a while now. They were quite good. After dinner my husband and friend Christina surprised me with cake and ice cream and a few of our close friends. It was so nice.

New Flooring

This summer we decided to get rid of all our carpet and tile the rest of our house. A couple summers ago we did laminate flooring in the kids rooms and in our kitchen. Our good friend John was so nice to come and help us out since he has done some tile work in his house already. We have tiled the laundry room, kids bathroom, hallway, front room and family room so far. We only have our bedroom and bathroom left to do. I must say it has been quite the experience. This is a tough job but it looks so nice. All the boys have done an amazing job. I am the official grouter and baseboard girl. I get to paint and caulk the baseboards. It is a messy job but someones got to do it. Grouting is not so much fun! The dogs are not so sure about this whole process they have been freaking out. We have been working on it for about 4 weeks now. Hopefully it will all be done by the 2nd week of September. Hopefully!

Jeff and Brian started the center of the hallway this weekend. We wanted to make it stand out a bit from the rest of the house.

1st Day of School 2009-2010

It's that time of year again. The summer has ended and the kids are back in school. Brian has started 10th grade this year and is on the JV Football team. CJ has started MSJC too but I didn't get any pictures of him. He is taking some CPR and Fire Technology and Spanish classes.

Alexys is a big 1st grader this year. Growing into such a beautiful little lady. I can't believe how fast it has gone.

She is so excited to be on the Big Kid playground. It's quite a madhouse out there much different then the Kindergarten playground. At her desk. This year she has Mrs. Joslin. Only two other kids from her kindergarten class are in here with her.

Quail Botanical Garden's

This past Sunday Christina and I took all the girls to the Quail Botanical Garden's. I had never been before but they had. We had the best time. It is so beautiful there. It is so neat to see all the different varieties of plants and trees. I can't wait to go again.

When we first got there a butterfly landed right on Christina's hand so the girls wanted one to land on them too.

This was a cool looking tree. It reminded me of a microphone head.

They had these gigantic adirondack chairs to sit in.

This was another cool looking tree. It looks like pixi-sticks.

They had this gorgeous water fall.

Looks like paper but it is real. The lily pads had such beautiful flowers and different kinds too.

Huge lily pads. In the bushes was a bull frog hiding out.

The bamboo trees are so tall. They cut some of this down for the panda's at the San Diego Zoo to eat.

There was a fruit tree garden here too and the girls were pretending that the banana tree was a telephone.

They have all these cool topiary's in the older children's garden.

Katie turns 17

Jeff's little sister celebrated her 17th bday this past weekend. They invited us out to their house to bbq, swim and of course have cake! So after the soccer game was over we headed over there.

Samantha counts 1,2,3 and then jumps in. She has no fear which is a little scary for us.
