We have finally planted some trees and plants in our backyard. It has been 6 years since we moved into our home and we thought this day would never come. We just didn't know what to do. One day we were talking to our friend Christina and she offered to help us. She has a beautiful front and backyard that she has done herself. So last Saturday we went to Lowes and shopped like mad women. She helped Jeff and the boys until the last plant was planted. We planted 40 trees and flowers back there. We love it. We have even found ourselves sitting back on the patio to enjoy it this week. Thank you so much Christina.

Kindergarten Happenings
Alexys received her first award yesterday. It was for being a Terrific Kid for demonstrating positive attitude, good character and responsible citizenship. We are so proud of her.
The week of September 11th. The Kindergartner's sang "You're a Grand Ole Flag" in memory of all the Americans who lost their lives when the World Trade Center was attacked. They all loved it.
She has learned almost all of her ABC's by site and sound.
Can count to 40.
Learning her days of the week. A little challenging.

Samantha 9 1/2 months old
She is turning into such a big girl. Alexys has started taking her into their room to play. This is what I found when I went in to check on them. Before she saw me she was up on her knees digging into this pink tote of stuff.
She also has this new thing she does. Jeff will say Awe Man (for those of you who watch Dora) its kind of like what Swiper the Fox says when he doesn't get away with swiping something from Dora. Well, the bottom lip starts to drop and she will start crying. She does this every time. It is the strangest thing.
She has her two bottom teeth.
Crawls but not in your average way. Like a worm inching her way across the floor.
Sitting up on her own.
Pulling up on you to stand.
Love to eat fruit and veggie puffs or cheerios.
Still loves baby food. Although she is now eyeing what we are eating.
Can drink from a straw but not a sippie cup or bottle.
Loves to play in the pack in play for a short period of time.
Loves music, starts dancing whenever she hears it.
Gives Daddy kisses.
Gives hugs.
Loves the dogs.
Claps her hands and says Yeah! 9/26/08
Mimicking sounds we make. her favorite is coughing.

Soccer Star
Where's Brian?
Brian decided to sign up to play football this year. Friday he had a scrimmage game that we all watched at the high school. Jeff and I spent the whole time trying to figure out which one he was. We told him that we are going to have to mark the back of his leg with something so we will know where he is. Brian wasn't going for it though. We told him the only problem with that is that all the parents would do the same thing the following week. Thankfully next week at his first game he will be wearing his actual game jersey with a number on it. He is the one with his leg in front of the zero on the 30 yard line.
