CrAZy HaIR DaY

This past week was Red Ribbon Week @ school. One of the fun things they do is Crazy Hair Day. This is as crazy as Alexys wanted to get. Pink hair. Every day they did something different to celebrate. Sam even participated too.

Pumpkin Patch

This week Alexys had a couple minimum days from school and Grandma Jenny was here to visit. So we decided to go to our favorite pumpkin patch. I just love the way its nestled in the trees and the way they set them all up. This year the girls were more interested in pushing the pumpkin cart around than actually picking a pumpkin to put into it. lol. Brian was still in school so he didn't get to go but I'm sure we will go back before the end of the month. CJ did get to go with us which was so nice. I was able to get a couple pics of him too! Those are moments that don't happen so much anymore.

Soccer 2010

The soccer season has begun. We are in our 8th week. I love watching Alexys play she is a natural athlete. We have a great team this year too. Have made so many new friends too which is a lot of fun! All the parents have been so helpful. My friend and fellow parent Erin stepped up and made this amazing banner for our team. I had made one a couple years ago and decided it would be my last so I was all for just buying one but Erin said I'll do it and it turned out so good!

Jeff is coaching this year along with our assistant Coach Eli. Brian has been our ref for every game which is so nice. He says he doesnt really like it but he does a great job. So far we have tied 2 games, lost 2 games and won 3 games. Last week we played the team we tied the first week and this time we beat them 8-2. Talk about improvement! Go Heartbreakers!

Home Photo Shoot

The girls are changing so much. A couple years ago Jeff bought me a backdrop for Mother's day and I honestly haven't used it since. I thought I would use it every month but Sam was 6 months old when I last used it. So I thought it would be fun to get it out and take some pictures of the girls. I am going to make a promise to myself to get it out at least 4 times a year. I would like to do it monthly but we'll see. Enjoy!

1st Day of School 2010-2011

Monday August 16th was the first day of school. Alexys is now in 2nd grade. Seems like kindergarten was just yesterday. She is quite the student. Loves it all!

Brian started 11th grade this year. Talk about time flying by. He wouldn't let me take pictures in the front yard.

I haven't blogged in quite a while. We got a virus on our computer and it locked me out of blogger and gmail. It also ended up crashing my harddrive and I lost 8 months of pictures. Which was very sad. Looking forward to sharing our lives with you all again. :)

Wild Animal Park

We recently renewed our W.A.P. passes. It's was almost two years since we had been. Sam is now at the perfect age for it. She loves the animals just as much as any of us do. It has always been one of our favorite places to visit. Can't wait to go back next week and see the butterfly exhibit! This was my favorite part of the day! This baby elephant was born on Valentines day. He was just the sweetest thing! Probably not much taller than Sam.

She is just like Brian. No FEAR! The moment we got in there she was trying to get the bird to land on her arm just like the big girls. I didn't buy her her own nectar but the girl that worked there saw how interested she was so she went and got some for her! So cool!

Two brothers. These are the only two lions in the exhibit right now. They are 2 years old and getting ready to head to another zoo. They say this is the age that they leave their pack and move onto their own. I could watch them all day. At one point the one standing up went and hid in the trees and watched the cheetahs and gazelles! He was like a lion in waiting!

The flowers were in bloom all over the park! I loved it! Spring is just so beautiful!

This Girl!

This girls gets into everything! Of course its always when you are heading out the door and in a hurry! She loves lotion and makeup! She thinks just about every bottle of something or another is lotion too! Shampoo, hand sanitizer, etc. She has even figured out how to open the finger nail polish too! Yikes!
