Trick or Treating

This year we went with my sisters' family and our good friends the Jackson's. It was Addie and McKenna's first time trick or treating. Little Addie was such a trooper. She was not afraid to go up to the door at all. I can't wait for Samantha to be walking next year.

Cousins- Samantha, Kiegh, Alexys, Cassidy and Kaden.

Our neighbors Logan and Emily

Kaden's costume was the big hit this year. My sister made it for him with a bunch of boa's and rubber gloves for his feet. Most of the houses we stopped at were taking his picture. He would go up to the door and gobble like a chicken. It was hilarious,

Pumpkin Carving

This is a tradition we do every year. This was the first year Alexys was able to do carving herself. At first she wanted to carve a cat and in the end she chose hearts. Its not very Halloweenish but I thought ok it will probably be easier than the cat. Boy was I wrong it took forever since we had to go all the way around the pumpkin. We sure had fun doing it though. Now we are ready to bake our pumpkin seeds.

Our trip to the Pumpkin Patch

This is my favorite time of the year. I love Fall. I love going to the pumpkin patch, searching for the best pumpkin to carve, I love the colors of Earth and all God has created for us. Alexys loves this as much as I do which makes it even better. Samantha wasn't so sure what was going on although she loved to chew on the hay. I am sure next year she too will love it too. This year was a little different than the past few though since it was 91 degrees outside and the boys were with their friends. This pumpkin patch has got to be my favorite so far. My friend Cara told me about it and I am so glad we went. We had been to Wickerd Farms before to get a christmas tree but I didn't know they had pumpkins too. So many to choose from, such a nice surprise especially since Halloween is just 5 days away. Alexys had fun playing in the fort and climbing on top of all the hay bales. She also had to have one of the wagons there to push her pumpkin around. They had some pot belly pigs there too and they too seemed to love eating the pumpkins and the girls loved watching them.

Gopher hunting

For a few months our neighbor Matt has had gophers in his front yard. He has tried everything to get rid of them. Well last week this darn gopher made his way onto our side of the yard. He dug 3 holes on one side and then all the way under the driveway to the other side and continued to dig 5 more holes. Brian and Jeff sat out for days trying to shoot him with the pellet gun before he tore up our whole front yard. I think Jeff finally got him or he gave up because he has been gone for about a week now. It is unbelievable how much damage one of these things can do. When sitting out front waiting for him to come up from the ground I felt like we were in the movie Caddy Shack.

PVHS Football Season

Jeff and I are huge football fans. We look forward to it every year. This year is even better since Brian has been on the Freshman football team. For someone who only played one full year when he was younger he is doing an awesome job. He is number 84 and is playing Safety for the defense. Although tonight he told me he got moved to another position where he will now be on the offense running the ball. I hope he decides to stay with it all through high school. We really enjoy going to his games.

10 Months Old

This is what I see every time I go into her room after she wakes up! Sometimes she is standing up now though. Big changes for her in the last few days. She is really crawling now, not just the army crawl. Into everything! It's a crack up to see her try to open the cupboards. ( since they are baby proofed) She likes to pull herself up on her exersaucer and play with it from the outside. I do believe she is saying Dog and Angel! CJ thinks she is saying his name too! Still no Mama though. What's up with that! Now if only I can teach her to put back the things she takes out.

Crawling full force.
Pulling herself up.
Standing in her crib.
Has eaten spaghetti noodles, plain pancakes, bits of chicken and hamburger.
Loved In N Out fries.
Everything goes in the mouth, especially when she knows you are going to say No!
